Crab Hummus Recipe
This issue's recipe is one from Port to Plate from chef Nia Griffith. This would be delicious with our dressed crab!
Ingredients
- 1 Welsh crab, dressed
- 1 can of chickpeas
- 1 tbsp olive oil 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
- 1 tsp garlic paste
- Salt and black pepper
- 1 tsp chilli flakes (optional)
Method
- Drain the chickpeas with a sieve over a bowl and keep the water on one side
- Place the chickpeas, with some of the water from the can, in a blender, with all other ingredients apart from the crab
- Add the brown crab meat from your dressed crab. Blend until it reaches a hummus-like consistency that you're happy with
- Place in ramekin dishes and place some white crab meat on top
- Serve with vegetable sticks, crisps or breadsticks, or as part of a salad
